PT-141 (bremelanotide) acts on melanocortin receptors involved in sexual response. Oxytocin is a hormone involved in social behavior and attachment. This prescription combines them in a compounded nasal spray. Your clinician considers your health history and goals before recommending treatment.
What the research can tell you.
Early studies of intranasal PT-141 reported erectile responses in men with and without erectile dysfunction. Research on intranasal oxytocin is mixed: a small study in 29 healthy heterosexual couples found some orgasm-related effects, but no improvement in desire, arousal, or erections. These studies do not establish the benefits of this compounded combination.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Vyleesi, the approved bremelanotide injection, is indicated for acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. It is not indicated for men or postmenopausal women, or for sexual performance enhancement. That approval does not apply to this nasal spray.

Is low desire the same as erectile dysfunction?

When and how often would I use it?
Follow the instructions supplied with your prescription. Ask your clinician about timing, frequency, and what to do if you do not notice an effect. Instructions for other bremelanotide or oxytocin products may not apply to your compounded nasal spray.
What if I'm not approved?
Not every intake results in a prescription. If a clinician determines that a treatment is not appropriate or safe for you, you will be notified. In some cases, a clinician may reach out to discuss the decision or recommend next steps.
You are only charged after a clinician approves your treatment and processes your order for pharmacy fulfillment. If you are not approved, you will not be charged.
How do I cancel my refills?
If you have enrolled in automatic refills, you can pause or cancel future shipments at any time by contacting our support team. A self-service billing and subscription portal will be available soon.
There is no membership to cancel. You are only charged for treatments you order or authorize for refill.
Please note that if a refill order has already been processed, dispensed, or shipped before your cancellation request is received, that order cannot be canceled or refunded.
What is the refund policy?
Because prescription treatments are dispensed by a pharmacy, products that have already been filled, shipped, or delivered cannot be returned or refunded.
If you have paid for an order that has not yet been dispensed, please contact our support team to request a review. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
If your order arrives damaged, tampered with, broken, or you receive the wrong product, do not use it. Contact our support team immediately, and we will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
